Try not to say that sort of thing...some people (me) do like convicts...they can be a very nice fish. I bet if they werent as common and cheap as chips you would think they were better...:nsg

Danny, those comments are both antagonistic and reflective of your immature demeanour:bd . Convicts are a fantastic little fish and many people, such as myself, were first attracted to the hobby by these guys:good . They are a great beginner fish, and as Croona said, if they sold for $50.00 each, you would probably sell your mother for a pair.

I totally agrre with merjo, good point. I started with these fish and they bred for me and were easy to keep and after they spawned i was more confident with fish keeping and moved on to other fish.

Exactly, if the fish is rare you would like it but u dont because it is common and cheap, you should like the fish for what it is,i used to live in perth and gibbiceps were a little expensive for someone like me and i was fascinated to have one and own a more expensive fish, though once it was in my tanks money was not a factor it was keeping and enjoying the great fish, now i live somewhere else these fish are about 60cents austrlian and i still like the fish as much as i did in perth. and i intend in just getting a few more this time:lol

Not sure what I said that was offensive about the fish. They are happy playfull fish, that I have enjoyed keeping. I have a Tang tank, just sold my Malawi setup, and these are in one of my other tanks. As said they are an excellent beginner fish, and also good for someone like me that has kept cichlids for 11 years. I'm only selling them as I need to sell ALL my gear as I'm moving to the opposite corner of Oz.

Hey Kev, you moving to Sydney mate??? Wanna rent a house?? Got one to rent in Spearwood?? :lol :lol
Danny, your comments were totally pathetic. Where the hell do you get off at??
Moderators, I am amazed that Dannys post lasted as long as it did considering some mods were here on the board several times and nothing was removed. This is not the first offensive post that has sat here longer than necessary either.
I also notice there is a post here from an unhappy visitor re flowerhorns. I hope that this one is satisfactorily replied to and not binned as it does deserve a response.

Nope not of the Sydney, heading to sunny Qld. (Bundaberg). But the house over here will be for sale, its big, on the hill by the ocean and cheap. (by Oz standards)
