Type of fish: Discus
Symptoms: thin head above eyes

It is what the title says 100% , i have 2 medium about 10 cm each , and like 3 smaller ones.

I have called a vet and i must have a consultation before i can get the metro tablets that are needed, consultation is $60 alone, before even looking at buying tablets.

Also i will have to buy another 2x2x2 ft tank and filtration to put them in by themselves. which is like another $250

The 5 fish are scattered through 2 4ft fishtanks, 1 with smaller discus, one with larger around 15cm biggest.

1st thing i really need to know is, can this disease spread?

Or can i take the affected fish out, with having little chance of any others catching this.?

Any help would be appreciated. As i have some decent random larger discus in one of the tanks.

If i can take them out without having to look at treating both 4 ft tanks which i am sure is going to cost a fair bit, i would rather take that option

Regards

actually after thinking about it, the 2 larger fish came from the same aquarium, which were given to me by the shop because they sold me a pair of super eruptions, the female had lateral line, which was barely visible i rang them explained to them that it had that and they had sold me a diseased fish, after it died and a few emails they reimbursed me the money that the female was worth only to use at there shops.

I brought a white diamond and red melon, they actually havent grown and both now have lateral. This is after like 8 months. When other discus i have had grow far bigger then them that were the same size when i got.

i wonder if the fish from that shop have brought this disease to my tanks?
