Hello,

 

I am glad i found this forum. I have kept a few tropical fish before but have not been very successful in keep them alive and going

Sadly, the tank is empty, packed away since we moved to our new place.

I still not very confident in this area. Seems to be doing the right thing... heater, ph controller, activated charcoal, good bacteria, etc... but obviously (NOT) i still got more to learn.

Hoping to learn from you all and maybe oneday i will setup the tank again...

We wil gladly give advice when you are ready to get setup again.

If you give us some specs of the tank, filter, substrate, etc, etc, we definetly can help fine tune your fish keeping skills.

Hi mate welcome. The problem for most people is filtration/water quality. There are a bunch of things you can do to keep water quality higher but that may be for another thread.
Most fishy folks dont use activated carbon ordinarily either.
