#361227 Malawi Haps

Posted by musemellow on 19 April 2017 - 07:30 PM

Earlier this week, I came home and found a nice surprise in my fish tank.

Both pleurospilus males, which are now 20cm long; created 2 sand bowers in the tank. they're very territorial and won't let other fishes come near the bower

This is the same behavior S pleurospilus in its natural habitat.

It's very difficult to get the perfect photos, they move too fast for my camera.

Sadly, I lost the females when i was on vacation for 2 weeks last year.

I had them for almost 2 years.

Saw your post on Aquotix import order, good luck finding the ornatus.

They're nice fish, started colouring once they reach around 12cm. They're very docile, I've never seen my ornatus show any aggression towards other fish.

#353068 Dimi Comps

Posted by musemellow on 21 June 2016 - 07:08 PM

Wasn't someone selling hybrid albino dimi comps on here a few years back? I have not seen the albinos in the flesh before. Only on the Internet

Vebas is selling them, but they're selling fast.

Only 1 left last time I checked (last Saturday)

#345009 Altos Group Buy

Posted by musemellow on 27 September 2015 - 06:22 PM

I have the opportunity to get some alto comps/calvus from NSW.

The breeder will only send to WA if we have enough number of order,

The following altos are available:

  • Gold comps  3.5 - 4 cm $25
  • White calvus Sold Out none shipped to WA
  • Altolamprologus fasciatus 3 - 3.5cm $35
  • Sumbu shell dwarf 3 -3.5cm $35
  • Black calvus 2.5cm $15

Availability: At least 20 - 30 each are available

Shipping: Airport to Airport. Shipping will start at around $100 for the first box and will depend on the size of the shipment add $50 per extra box. (A box can contain 40 altos)

Minimum order: $600 combined

Maximum order: 50 altos, limited tank space

Did some math,

if we were to order 25 altos in one box, we're looking at roughly additional $6.5 on top of the fish price for shipping + inspection fee,

So far there are 4 members showing their interests.
