More updates still to come.. family has had the flu going through us this week and last.. hoping to get back into it this weekend.

But apart from the flu.. the tank is going great, no leaks at all!!.

tonight i was playing around with the lighting.. going to use 3 LED down lights total of 15W (cant beat efficiency), just making sure its going to be enough before i start to build the hood which will be happening this weekend.

Also playing with the idea of having a dimmer switch on it as well

Its a nice shade of Tannin thanks to the nice big piece of wood (2.1m x 800)...

yea i had some in another tank before ... im not really bothered with it at the moment as im not ready for fish as yet... i will be doing another water change when the hood is ready and then maybe add some, but it has cleared quite a bit over the last few weeks.

Looking good man. Have you thought of using poly fittings inside the tank so the blend into the back ground instead of the white PVC ones.

the pipes in the tank are black ... the white piping is only behind and underneath the tank

the pipes in the tank you see in that picture are just to hold the branch down ... it still floats

the outlet into the tank is made up of a T piece and 2 elbows which are adjustable so i can direct the water up and down
