Purchased as Zonatus but unsure as it has a bit of pink/red near the mouth whereas my other zonatus dont have any pink/red.

Any thoughts?

Hartwegi usually has the less prominent stripe but often is red in the head area. Is there a possiblity of hybrid? I am only going by look and colour, not an expert. It has some mixed traits which i have seen a bit online.

Tricky.. I know 2 guys who will know. Let me see what they say. Aquamojo and Juan Miguel Artigaz Asaz.

From Mo Devlin - Aquamojo.

"It's a Zonatus. If you go to my gallery, you can see mine photo'd from one inch to gull adult. That horizontal bar seals it."

From Juan Miguel Artigaz Azaz -

Possible Coatzacalcos
Not hartwegi for sure

I am not totally sure anymore that sp Coatzacoalcos and zoanatus are two different species though
but this is certainly from the Coatzacoalcos river in my opinion
