i Was Just speaking to Den and he said something that made alot of sence for the people keeping TSN, insulate your tanks with the high density foam you can buy from clark rubber on the two sides even the back, this stuff can be moulded/cut into rock shapes and painted to make it look natural and it just may stop your shovelnoses getting busted up on the hard glass if they spook,
Id probably suggest this for Gars, tigrinus, puffers and anything else that may be prone to smashing into the glass at a high speed.

Gorgeous fish mate! Steve, with the foam, do u have to seal it or anything special, like does it deteriorate in the water at all? Sounds like a great tip.

you can use the same stuff you seal ponds with i think there may even be something in the DIY section.
the foam i was refering to was the stuff they use for those roll out exercise mats only thicker, just an idea but im sure you could use poly aswell if it was all sealed.
ive never done this before but it makes scence
