I have sourced more bgk's from shops and in the future i will have another go at breeding them. Then i might not be the first to breed them and i wont be the last to breed them, which doesn't really matter! Just getting them to breed was awesome.
Then maybe i will be able to say i bred them again with out other people saying i bred that fish first or i was the first and if all my trial and error from the last pair (swapping partners) pays off and if what i think works again, there will be no links to any one on the forum and if it all works out well then i know the info is worth giving out and i can share my info as will others by then to save every one the time and effort in doing a google search.
I do want to share my information with everyone its just that I have to keep my word for the buyer of the bgk's and i need to know if my info is correct to breed again, cos I don't want to tell everyone how to do it etc and then it doesn't work if you understand what I'm saying. But now it doesn't really matter, what's said is said and whats done is done.

Re: water chemistry - the BGK spawned for me in much different water chemistry then Shanes. I think the real challenge is in finding a pair.
As an addit - I think plaudits all round for Shane for what he did and enough of this negativism toward him. For those of you who don't know Shane and haven't had the privilege of meeting him like myself...he is a really decent bloke with a beautiful wife and all the characteristics of personality one admires.

Bunbury dosnt put fluoride or chloride in the drinking water so i thought that might of had some thing to do with them spawing but as Pete has proven it dosent !
So realy its any ones guess and that any one who has bred them i bet all the water chemistry would be difrent ! and like ive been saying all along its trial and error to find what works and once again i bet its all difrent for all of us and our fish.
Cheers Shane

I sure did try and breed them though, i spent ages swapping pairs and playing with water.
I do feel i did put in some hard yards and made a bloody good effort and i did set a goal and i invested alot of time into it and achieved it. Hence my reaction to your first post !
As for the rest when it comes to bgk's youll have to figure it out yourself
P.s Brownies are no good to me unless they are the edible type

Seachem is a conditioner which eliminates chlorine and can also reduce any ammonia levels present.
