Sure... I have temporarily housed the bullrout in my cod tank but the cod will be back in there next week... Pulled a heap of vallis out to catch the cod, it will grow back in a few weeks and look better.

Bullrout I got from Morley Aquariums.

Werdna had a go at keeping cod in an AP setup I think... Dunno how well it went though. http://www.perthcichlid.com.au/forum/index.php?showtopic=47157&page=1

I never got round to actually adding them to the AP.

I kept giving out the bigger ones to people and got left with all the little ones.

Then shut down all my tanks so sold them on.

Most the people I sold them to had then in AP
From what I have heard they did well.... But people tend to keep failures quiet!

Technically to import cod into WA at all you need an approved translocation permit from fisheries. To breed, grow out or resell you are required to have an aquaculture permit... even though you may not be doing it on anything like a commercial scale.

did / do you have an aquaculture licence andrew ?

Only want a 4 footer for the first 18 months - 2 years. Bigger than that is a waste, they arent super active fish especially as juvies they spend nearly the whole day parked up in their snag.

your making me feel bad mines in a 1 foot cube and has a sponge filter for security after i took out its bit of wood... feeds much better now guppies cant hide :) ... its the fattest cod i have seen... may have to go on a diet other than couple dozen guppies a day :) but his tank upgrade is on the way shortly....
