I have had requests for pics showing bichir spawning mats and my brine shrimp hatchery, the peg in the bottle reminds us which bottle to use next.

Hi Alex
Here are some more 1 week and 3 months.
Pete
They lay hundreds at a time, the most I have raised from a spawning was about 40 usualy it's 10 to 20. I have about 30 1" to 2" fry ATM. Most spawnings are not collected because I only have 100 aquariums.

If you sell a few bichir fry you might get enough to buy a few more tanks, just maybe lol.

I'd be happy to help house a few juvies if need be biggrin.gif

Geat pics by the way.

google is your friend.

depends what you mean by tankbuster community. Senegals max out at about 25cm. Hardly a large 'tankbuster' type fish. They also stay quite slender. They would be a tastey snack for most TB's.

They are quite peaceful. With fish of similar size. Only trouble I ever had with them was fry eating each other which Tezza already mentioned.

its all relative to what you call a tankbuster. I reckon I could feed my catfish adult senegals by the dozens.
