Cheaper But Similar Wavewaker To Vortech?

I need to increase my waterflow. All my filters etc are hidden in the cabinet underneath and I spent alot of money trying to make it neat. However, I want to add a wavemaker that doesn't look to bad, isn't too bulky and won't take up much space.

However, I am fastly running out of money. Therefore I'm looking for something cheaper that $300 that will do the job similar to the Vortech Propellor Pump MP10ES.

Any ideas or should I stop complaining, not eat for the next week and buy the Vortech Propellor Pump MP10ES? In some way, I think my fish would thank me for it lol

The reason I need to increase waterflow is that my soil substrate is landing on my plants and resting there which makes them look ugly.

I currently have 2 x eheim with 620LPH ratings (each). However, with all the equipment, check valves, piping etc that presumebly 1240LPH rate has been reduced.

Ollie suggested adding a powerhead to the tank and taking it out every now and then when I want to show off the tank. Not a bad idea, and relatively cheap. But I'm more interested in a permanent fix.

Any ideas?

Do u find Tunze nano streams too bulky? There's a few different brands that are similar in size too.

if your fine substrate is already getting stired up a wavemaker may make it worse.
you can buy one for under $30

The Vortech has variable speeds which I like - but I guess you get what you pay for.

you may end up with a dust storm and your filters cloging up from it.

Vebas have a new brand in that's well priced for the volume of water they can push. They have them in their coral selling tanks. Much cheaper than the Vortechs but can't remember the name....

Pretty sure there's an option for a controller too if u did want to vary the speeds or run in tandem.

Is the substrate getting on there from being blown by the filters or are the fish carrying it up?

Surely my current water flow isn't strong enough that it would do that? It's nearly 2ft from the substrate! And gushes out practically parallel to the floor!
