This photo is of a female (I think) angelfish that I have kept for several years now. A mild-mannered young thing that rules over 13 much larger congo tetras and walks (swims!) a fine line with the larger angelfish between socialising and outright bickering. Love watching this fish interact.
This photo shows her rising out of the background plants.
Plants, plants, plants - sigh. If I didn't know better I'd assume the val is kicking the ambulia out as more of it is floating around. Background area of tank needs drastic pruning.
New light is going great running one bank only, algae still well and truly under control. Thinking of bumping up the light period half an hour and see what happens. Or increasing light intensity - still thinking. Will give it a few more weeks.
Put some red alt on left side of tank to see if I can get some colour there. The leaves on the new plants are larger than mine so I assume more CO2 and higher light intensity may help.
The tank has cleared a bit and I think it was bad because several weeks ago I cleaned the tank but didn't refill the tank until the afternoon by which time a lot of plants had dried out. Still getting a lot of debris each weekend but the water seems to be clearing.
