Im a keen angler, beach fishing at night has mostly been ruined around Rockingham area as there are too many lights on the beachfront now which scare the fish away from the shoreline. Before all the lights went up we used to catch a mixed bag of good species in a single night off Rockingham beach, stuff we used to catch there were whiting, bream, flathead, herring, tailor & samon, now there is nothing, not even a single bite when we go to the same spots which used to be teeming with life.
I've given up shore fishing and bought a boat, Ive been catching some reasonable amounts of King george whiting and a few herring off Safety Bay, havent been out the the 5 fathom bank for a while, been mainly fishing close to shore. I plan to get the big tackle out and head to the bank in a few weeks, hopefully I'll have some nice new pics to post up
