Great looking tank.

If you manage to paint the back of the tank and keep that 'sharp sterile look' into the future it will really be an A grade aquarium.

Agreed. Great looking set up. The only criticism is there is no background/paint.

How are you liking discus compared to africans?

Cheers guys , I'm loving the discus. a lot calmer than Malawi and love the way they interact as a group ,  I have played around with a heap of backgrounds over the years ,

black ,blue ,timber, red ,silver stainless etc , never find one I like so have been without for some time ,prefer the shimmer of the led without one . want to keep as light as possible as not to encourage peppering on fish . W/C 30-40% every 2-3rd day helping keep everything nice and clear and fish loving it

I had once painted a back ground in a light earthy olive colour, looked mint, I was 12 odd and used what ever I could find in the shed

I highly recommend freeze dried blackworms. I buy them online, will pm you the link if you are interested.

I use sera discus granules as staple. Seem to grow well on them. Use the same as grow out food for fry. None of my discus would take flakes and beef heart was just too messy. I supplement with live black worms when breeding them.
