still a tad concerned about my gourami's and that poor angelfish but if they seem happy then all is good.
Your mono will soon get jealous of the angelfish, so expect a sudden death

Angelfish come from south/central america. They would never meet Malawi cichlids in their native habitat. The types of cichlids you CAN get away with keeping with angelfish are softer water american cichlids such as keyholes, rams, uaru etc. Not african malawi's such as electric yellows, borleyi, Maingano etc. you understand what I'm talking about. If your mono doesn't kill your angelfish, then your mainganos will continue to tear it to shreds.
but apart from that hiccup, nice clean tank

I have a single O in a 4 foot tank - I have to do water changes at least once a week to stop nitrates getting over 20ppm??

Well, done with the community, not the ideal water parameters but hey if it works for you good stuff.
