As in the river prawns?
Check out Aqua Green - don't think they have Australiensis but they have others.
I've bought them.

They are very hardy - just keep temp above 23 degrees.
I feed them on hakari pellets - 40% protein based (I recall).
They eat snails and will eat food that the fish don't eat. They also snack on a bit of zucchini when the bn isn't interested.
Awesome to watch, strongly recommend

That video was taken when they had jsut been added. They are a deep deep red now.

Andrew - they are in a community tank and it's likely that any offspring will be eaten.
Michael - the bullatum are carnivores and although they do eat a bit of zucchini, they mostly eat snails, sinking pellets etc. I haven't actually observed them eating algae.

Michael - aqua green also sell rainbowfish. Email Dave Wilson and ask what he recommends. I have incisus, wanamensis and boesemani with them and they get along nicely. I also have empire gudgeons and bristlenose.

Guys ,
if you are interested ANGFA WA have a group buy running with Aquagreen at the moment.
Just turn up to the next meeting with what you want to order and you can save some money on freight ( and meet some great people )
