Its been canned last I heard
There wasn't supposed to be a season 8, however it was extended

apparently might get some spin offs though but wont be based on the main storyline

I have to say the ending was a huge letdown, especially compared to something like Breaking Bad that ended around the same time but felt like a more conclusive ending
