So I moved my old 4x1.5x2 out and replaced it with a 6 footer.  Got the tank of gumtree for $250 which I think was a pretty good deal. It's got 10mm glass and a steel stand with cabinetry to hide the inner workings.  It also has a sump, dual fluro light built into the hood and it even came with a uni rock background which was a really good added bonus and some spare tubes.  

 

I filled the bottom with a mix of playsand from bunnings and coral sand from Avid Aquaria.  Its hard to aquascape as it so much wider than the old tank.  I also bought a crazy new  Ocean Free heater from Avid , it has a digital readout of the temprature of the tank and has a full length shroud/sheath to protect it. (get into Avid if you are after a new heater as they are the shiz nits)

 

I will update with new stock and rockwork.

So after 3 days in the new tank the horei have spawned again. These fish do not, I repeat do not muck around!

Male Ctenocromis horei looking good at the moment. I love how powerful the camera on a galaxy s7 is almost as good as some low end slr's.

Got the camera back off of my brother and took some photos of the fish.  Ctenochromis horei, C. leptasoma 'kitumba' juveniles and Julidochromis regani.
