This time the male dropped his tube while the female was laying, but the silly bitch wouldnt let him near the eggs to fertilise them, he kept trying but she kept him away.

[Edit] oops looks like I was wrong amoungst the fungused eggs shes pulled out a few hundred wrigglers!

Cheers

I knew you were breeding Red Capuz, but thought that with all these nice new "rarish" fish you've brought in, you forgot to advise members (me!) of a new Lethrinops variant... lol tongue.gif

Bugger! Continue with my search, I go... rolleyes.gif

Only had my tank for a few months, so excited if even the 'bread and butter' fish breed smile.gif
My electric yellows have bred a couple times. Currently have 5 at ~10mm long, and 2 at ~20mm long.
Also found last week my bristlenose have bred; the eggs have hatched and they are in the stage where the babies are eating out their egg sacks.
The rock was carefully relocated to front corner of the tank so I can see it from the outside. Very interesting smile.gif

I've been watching with anticipation as one of my Phenochilus Tanzania females held what appeared to be a small mouthful the last couple of weeks.. I decided to strip her this afternoon as I thought I'd rather be safe than sorry.. anyway, the tiny mouthful turned into about 30 fry and I'm STOKED!!!!!!
She did an amazing job of hiding that many fish.. I was thinking half a dozen or so.. mega bonus.
I'll relax a bit when they start eating and nothing eats them through the fry saver.
Touch wood
