As i dont really want to sell any of the fish i currently have and factoring in their rapid rate of growth, I decided to buy another tank for the shed after seeing a 6x2.5x2 on a steel stand in the quokka for only $200!

Cleaned the tank today, put it in place and did most of the PVC plumbing, then filled half way to make sure there are no leaks.

The tank will be running off the sump as the 1100L. Currently running 2x300W Jagers. Hopefully ill be able to get away with adding one more to keep a stable 27.5 degrees in both tanks.

Finished plumbing. Waiting for glue to dry....

I would have done it sooner. We had a lot of drama with Synergy. Our meter was faulty and we were getting charged 430% more than we should of been. I sold my other brand new 6x2 for dirt cheap because I was worried about power. We got it all sorted and now have a $1600 cheque in the mail and the last 8 monts of power paid for by them.

Im unsure what's going in there yet. I was thinking about letting those red Snooks spawn. Either that or move the smaller Americans in there to grow out faster. Jag, black belt, synsipilum etc... Then move the two other bass I have in the big tank.

Pipework complete. Now just wait for it to cure and test it out. Hopefully I've learnt a few things after my first attempt on the tank beside it!

The runt got eaten. But the other two are in with the Geos and Bass now. Putting on size. Ones a but timid, hides a bit. But the other one is crazy!

Filtration up and running first go. Self primes like a dream.

Also added another 25Ltr of expanded clay. Totaling 75Ltr of clay, bag of matrix and a bag of purigen.

Divider is cabled tied together then cable tied to the top. Also cable tied to the peice of driftwood on the right and suction cups each side. So fingers crossed there's no issues.

I'm only using 4 suction cups on either side of my divider and is working fine, just cut it to size like a surgeon. wink.gif

Looks good man. How is the little ray going? handle the move alright? what did you use to catch it?

I moved him in an ice cream container to a basket in the big tank a bit over a week ago. Then this evening I just picked up the clothes basket and moved him. He is pretty tame and doesn't seem to mind moving. Eating out of my hand straight after both times. Plus this time water paraments are exactly the same.
