You mentioned it was $40 at Vebas, so 10% off is $36.

if its 3 years than the cost makes absolute sense. I have found out that Vebas has them for $40 so I would probably go there on Saturday. Is Vebas similar in size as Aquotix ? I love Aquotix! In fact I love them all - morley aquariums (wish I could 'hang out' there all day), gosnells aquariums (used to be my weekly place to 'visit' when i still worked in armadale) etc!!

Unless I'm missing something here.

The kit expires after 3 years and you would want to do weekly or at the very least fortnightly tests. City Barn in Malaga might be closer and I'm pretty sure they have the test kits. I live in Mt Lawley which is near Bedford, but its only about 20 minute drive to Aquotix or Vebas which isn't so bad.

Can you please tell me how you get to aquotix or vebas in 20 minutes from mt lawley? I'm in morley which isn't far from you and there is no way i could make the trip in 20 or even 30 min.

20 minutes is pretty doable given good traffic conditions and speeding (19 over the limit) down the freeway for Vebas, Tonkin for Aquotix. Though I don't exactly recommend it. But with bad traffic conditions as was the case last time to Aquotix, it took me close to 40 minutes. But I suppose if you were to stick to the speed limit then it would be about 25-30 minutes to either one, at least from where I am.

And if anyone is wondering why I was so specific when I said 19 over the limit, its because its $150 fine for 10-19 km/h over the speed limit and $300 for 20-29 km/h over. So if I was to do 20 over, it's double the fine and more demerits lost so hardly worthwhile. But that said, I'm not condoning speeding in any way and don't encourage it at all.

Hahaha oh right, yes that is true. But then long term, assuming you spend $250 across all the sponsors (which you're bound to do) then you make your money back smile.gif That's how I justified my membership haha.

Hey guys you do know its against guidelines to quote the post directly above, it's pointless and makes threads untidy please use the reply button in future unless replying to a specific part of a previous reply. Please keep that in mind. Cheers

Sorry Bowdy, never realized that was a rule. Too used to quoting people on other forums to avoid confusion lol.

As I said " quoting the post directly above " is against the guidelines , it pretty pointless as one would already assume that's who your replying to. If you want to reply to posts further up the thread then yes by all means quote them.

I know this was a few months ago, but for future reference, City Farmers sells the API Freshwater Master Test Kit for around $42 :)
