Hey all,
Got a question for those into Tank Busters, How the hell do you catch the BIG fish? The biggest fish Ive caught was a 50cm Pleco, I caught it by hand so it wasnt that hard, But I have caught large US cichlids that make a hell of a splash.
So how do you go about catching large TSN or Tig's or Gator Gars?
Cheers

Same way you would catch any other fish. Just use a larger net. Or in some cases a pillow case is the best option. Lowering the water level to about 30% also helps alot.
I've moved big RTC before... it's really not that hard as long as you plan it porperly and have a little bit of help.
My most hated fish to catch and transport would have to go to the Arowanas. Silvers in particular.

What about fish with spikes though?
Pillow case, Ahh good idea..
I used a towel (wet of course) for the pleco.

I've never had a problem with a pillow case or a net even with fish with spikes. Just need to use some caution.
