The majority of fish keepers in Perth are not aware of the legal restrictions on some species of fish in WA. These restrictions are in place to protect the aquaculture industry, the aquatic environment and ourselves. These restrictions are under the control of the Department of Fisheries in WA. (Each State has its own list - which some day soon may become nationalised)
The following link contains lists of fish species that are declared in WA as noxious and those as restricted. Any fish on these lists cannot be kept in WA without a permit or clearance from the Department of Fisheries WA.

Take note of what the conditions are for each list so that you are aware of the restrictions for each category.
