Thanks mate. He's still only a semi-adult. Males will become darker as they reach adulthood..

Richard, I bought them from Az (Midland Pet) a few months ago. I think they costed $80 each or something.. so they better breed for me, to justify their existance!

Looks exactly like an msobo at that size. I love the contrast between the sexes, makes for a really attractive colony.

Salpon, they do look similar but the adult form is a bit different. Msobo has black patches around the body, Membe Deep don't (pics from google):
