No mate they dont. Uv filter only kills the algae that flows past the light. Hair algae anchors to stuff in the pond and never passes through the uv filter.

I dont know of any fish that are suitable for ponds this time of year that help with hair algae.
I have had a hard time with hair algae over the last 4 to 6 weeks, totally exploded in my ponds...
