Morning everyone. I am trying to get a pair of ponds back up to scratch these are two kidney shaped black plastic clearpond ponds, My problem is trying to remove the literally dried and baked on algae from within them they have been full all of the time but they have almost a bath ring around the top 3-4 inches and the inside once you get rid of the soft algae the rest is very hard to get off even a brass barbie brush is almost useless a scraper does get it off but the contours of the pond make this very difficult i have tried 30 second cleaner but no good against the the really dried stuff so is there some other cleaner that someone knows of that i can use?? Was thinking of paint stripper but a bit worried about being left with a pile of molten black sludge.
Ok will leave it too the powers to be.
Cheers

have you tried topping them up so water goes above the algae ring and can soak / soften up a bit before scrubbing.
