I have a mains water hose in my fish shed which I usually turn of at the wall, yesterday the end came off the hose and the hose snaked around the shed squirting water all over the place. It eventually lodged itself with a stream of water straight into the bichers 6 footer, it must have ran for most of the night. The cold fresh water killed 2 males and a female one female survived. This colony had bred about 2 years ago.

I'll see how she goes and if she is ok in a week she will be for sale.

That's fish keeping.

Sounds like the Ben Cousins of aquariums- "such is fish keeping".

On a serious note, that's terrible news Terry, sorry to hear it.

son of brian cousins - ben cousins was a west australian footy legend and loved by all... until he came unstuck and got hooked on drugs and the subsequent fall from grace followed... sad story... but thats drugs....

az aquatic ! whos that ! oh nobody important !!!  :Rofl_3f:  :Rofl_3f:  :Rofl_3f:

accidents happen terry.... crap ones too... why couldnt the hose have dropped and got caught under a tank and just flooded the floor  :brickwall:

still doesnt help... still feel crappy about it... mate of mine did a similar thing - dropped 50% water out of the tank , added water conditioner , put hose in to top it up... and kids distracted her away from tank and it was forgotten about till 5 hours later... lost a heap of unreplaceable plecs....
