Heya

In Europe at the moment, and have seen these heaters for sale. Wondering if they are available in Australia and for how much.

These guys are bomb proof, made of titanium and are unbreakable (except with a hammer...) accurate to a degree and 500W! What more can I say. They work at 240V / 120V. They also have an external (separate) thermostat. Handy for those four foot high aquariums :)

I have seen them for sale on some US websites. $29US. They are a little more expensive here.

Regards

BT,

If they even come close to that price I would buy them. I've been looking for titanium heaters with external controllers in Australia for the last 12 months to replace some old spa heaters I use at work.

They're in the range of 2kW so much bigger, but I got the price lists for the ones from around the 300W mark. The viaaqua stainless steel 300W heaters wholesale for around the $50 mark in Perth.

Hope that helps.

Adam

ps. If you can fit a few more in your bag let me know the price and I might buy some from you.

Heya Adam

At this stage I am looking to kit out my larger aquariums, so I need atleast 8.

Do you know the 'bag limit' (haha) before I need an import licence??

It may also be easier to get them into the country via the US. (Not to mention cheaper.)

There are a couple of other brands that I have found also. Pro Heat and AZoo (not Titanium) which are 500W. All require a step down transformer though for 115V/60Hz. :(

These are big damn heaters. 36" for the element on the Azoo.
There is a JST here as well, but it looks in relative short supply. Titanium, and get this - 800W!!

Not sure how many you can bring in without getting stung. You may actually want to look at buying bigger units if you need a few per tank.

A 1.5kW titanium heater in Aust is around $600.

Can you find the manufacturers name on the product. I looked for XGen in google and got nothing.

The US option isn't that good either as you need a transformer as well.

Adam
