Some abbreviations you may come across on this forum:

PCS = Perth Cichlid Society smile.gif
LFS = Local Fish Shop
OP = Original Poster (person who started a thread on this forum)
CRS = Crystal Red Shrimp
BN = Bristlenose
EY = Electric Yellow
EB = Electric Blue
RTC = Red Tailed Catfish
HITH = Hole In The Head (disease)
SP = Species (in the middle of a scientific name)
K1 = Kaiser 1 (Tropheus sp. black Ikola - wide yellow band)
K2 = Kaiser 2 (Tropheus sp. black Kiriza - wide yellow band including the dorsal fin)
HTH = Hope That Helps / Happy To Help
IMO = In My Opinion
AFAIK = As Far As I Know
WHY = What Have You

WC = Wild Caught (refers to fish that were caught in their original wild habitat and then imported to Australia)
F1, F2 etc., refer to filial generations from a given starting point: Usually WC but not necessarily that.
If the start point is WC, then:
F1 = Offspring produced by parents that are both wild caught
F2 = Offspring produced by both F1 parents

Note that the F numbers are NOT referring to the number of spawns, but the generations of fry. All spawns produced by WC parents are F1.
If one parent is WC and the other is not, the fry they produce can NOT be labelled F1.
Also, there is no such thing as F0.
