true strain maybe, but nobody seems to know the original location of the fish

they used to start the strain in Holland so it is sold under a Trade Name

guess Eureka Red wasn't selling enough so they called them Firebirds

pretty typical of fish sold under trade names

look like Rio Branco to me but that is the problem with wholesalers and LFS that use trade names rather than correctly ID the fish

pretty normal for the female to spit when netted, some pick them up some eat them up

if she spawns in future you will most likely have the same experience and need to  .............................

if they are heads and tails they will be fine in a fry saver ...... NOT a fry net as they will get eaten through the net

if they are eggs then you will need to tumble them
