Great if you set them up properly. I managed to flood the lounge room trying to set one up in a system I got at Aquotix. I flicked Oli a PM and he came over and set it up for me. It's an awesome way to utilise the co2. Get a better spread through the tank. I do have a small tank with a co2 system as well, but isn't inline. The diffuser sits at the bottom of the tank below the Venturi outlet for an internal filter, that way the co2 still goes around the tank

This is what I have read / heard as well. They seem better for spread through tank. As long as no leaks. Seem pretty popular.

I don't take the risk and use two internal tunze diffusers at either end of tank (4ft tank) with an internal mechanical filter to push water around. The tunze diffusers do come with power heads to chop CO2 bubbles up but not that strong. Also not sure about inline but if the tunze ones are overloaded with CO2 they get a death rattle.
