I found this article about lotus and I'm wondering how true?

On root growth and this chemical it produces I'm not keen on it going with my other plants. Found another article that suggests they are best by themselves?

I like to use fluorite with them they take up a lot of room with their leaves  haven't had problems besides that .Keeping them from fanning (trimming ) out over the top of the aquarium can be a pain sometimes .

Hi, thanks for the info - if the water fern doesn't work out, I'll see about trying one.
