Good LED light for my 4ft tank? Its 200L I don't want to pay big bucks. Any advice would be much appreciated!

there's a couple of good LED lighting reviews on Aquarium Life forum at the moment

basically, if you want really budget, go for LED spotlights, 2x 20 or 30 watt would be HEAPS, if you have no plants get one of the beamworks or the new aqua one tropiglo LED, both very cheap, about the 150ish mark, if you have plants i recommend the new aqua one plantglo, im getting AMAZING results with it, just as good as a fluval unit growth wise and MUCH cheaper, and then of course fluval LED units for plants aswell but towards the high end of your price range, malaga city barn has the best pricing for the aqua one units right now, but if they dont have any in stock Avid Aquaria has them., LED floodlights are best purchased on ebay.

just a tip, if you get the flood lights they may be cheap but if you wire them yourself and your house burns down don't expect insurance to give you a cent

Should I def get a 120? I'm using white sand for substrate and my twin T8 seems toooo bright?

Go to go troppo in wangarra, Colin is the guy that owns it.

 

I had my 4foot done with 2 LED strips, plus remote dimmer and 3 down lights in the middle for approx $240, he removed all existing mounts in the hood etc plugged it all up and placed it all together. Top quality job and still very happy with it.

ive got one of those hopar LED lights from ebay, they look great, the unit itself is really nice and thin and has built in heatsinks, BUT ive noticed ive already got 15 LED's dead, the beamworks ive got 0 dead and i own 3x 4' units and 2x 2' units, only thing thats died was a power pack

hey Bermont  wouldnt warranty cover it or is going to the hassle of ebay items outweigh the cost ?

by the time ive shipped it to them and the time for testing and return it would of cost me about $30 and 3 weeks, the few LED that died dont matter, its still bright as and works well, beamwrosk are sold locally but usually a lil more expensive, morley usually stocks them, but you have the peace of mind that you can warranty them locally

So I'm thinking I'm gonna get the aquAone tropicglo light unit. My question is still should I go with the 4ft light or would I be ok to get the 90? I'll be mounting in the top I've made
