Hi All

 

Im after some male electric yellows and my local fish store says they only have female as males are way to expensive. If they where to get males they would have to charge just under $100 and the females only go for about $20.

 

Does this sound right ?

 

Can anyone tell me where i can get them from ?

IMO no. I bought one for $10 at around 12cm. Isn't the best specimen but male all the same and gave me holding females after 3days. Electric yellows are so common you will have no problem finding one and certainly not for $100. Or just buy a bunch of fry for around $3 each and you will get a few males out if it and sell the others. Is your local store a chain store?

Reminds me of city farmers selling EY fry for $27 at 3cm or so..

unfortunately alot of shops sell small electric yellows at amazing prices even in perth
