Hi guys I'm new to the Cichlid keeping game, and can't wait to get this tank cycled and filled with the colourful little critters.
I've had Reef tanks for most of the time but that was in Nth Qld where it was cheaper to stock and water changes was a breeze (lived on the coast).

Picked up this tank second-hand and also came with 2 Tunze nanostreams

I painted the glass black then filled with limestone sand and rocks this was the result..

At the moment I only have the rear lights on because I was thinking of getting some White Marine globes for the front?
Is there a better choice of globe type to bring out the colours on the Malawi Cichlid?

i like the hagen power glow tubes they have a really crispy white on the verge of pink. have fun with the tank

Thanks guys! Hopefully its all cycled just before Christmas and I can fill it with a whole heap of small cichlids from sellers on here. fingers crossed.

Awesome mate looks great!!
Can't wait to add the livestock.

Picked up a eheim 2217 cannister filter off Poncho today, great guy, awesome setup at his place very impressive.
Really knows his stuff.
