#365270 International Guest - Adrian Indermaur

Posted by sajica on 07 March 2018 - 09:48 AM in Announcements

It was a great talk and I enjoyed the science stuff. A huge thanks to the PCS committee for all the arrangements, behind the scenes operations and thankless jobs that go into organising an event like this.

#363804 Can You Guess The Species?

Posted by sajica on 26 October 2017 - 09:25 PM in Photo Album & Photography Discussion

The 2nd one is certainly different :) The first one is too, but that's a couple of cool species :)

I'll leave it for others to guess so I don't ruin the game :)

#363691 New Monthly Topic Ideas

Posted by sajica on 12 October 2017 - 01:01 PM in Off The Wall

I'm a sucker for Biotope aquariums but how about some sort of Rift Lake Aquascaping discussion from 3 people that have actually been to one of the lakes? Like an open forum discussion chat, photos, questions from the audience.

#362194 Public Opinion Of What We Do.

Posted by sajica on 13 June 2017 - 05:34 PM in Off The Wall

Between the fish, motorbikes, reptiles and everything else I wouldn't be able to afford drugs :P

That reminds me I will need that "Rainbowfish Lover Parking Only" sign at some point down the track

#362187 Public Opinion Of What We Do.

Posted by sajica on 13 June 2017 - 10:06 AM in Off The Wall

No Chris, you don't have a problem, it's everyone else with the problem.

All my classmates and friends in highschool thought I was a weirdo for being obsessed with aquarium fish at the time. I'm no longer friends with any of them. I don't need that negativity in my life ;) :P

#362049 Feeding Cichlids - 1973 Style

Posted by sajica on 07 June 2017 - 10:21 AM in Off The Wall

What was the range of cichlids like in the 1970s? I presume American (Neotropica/ New World) cichlids were a lot more common at the time of publication so the beefheart and such would have been a more applicable diet for them?

#361941 Vitalis - Cichlid Grazer

Posted by sajica on 30 May 2017 - 02:56 PM in Addicted2Fish

Just out of interest can they be used in other tropical (tetras, barbs, catfish, etc, etc) tanks?

Mine get most of their grazing requirements off the plants and want more variety :( It's pretty bad when angelfish are having a go at plants as they go in :(

They do a tropical community grazer too. :)

#361646 Mattia & Sajica

Posted by sajica on 11 May 2017 - 09:30 AM in Off The Wall

So us outsiders are the only ones that think it looks fun? :P

I once saw an excavator drive it's bucket through a brick wall of a house to demo it. It's one of the coolest things I have seen so far in my life. It certainly made the bus trip at the time a lot more exciting.
