#366465 Protomelas Sp Hertae And Callochromis Macrops

You could say that, this is the dominant male and he was halfway between trying to spawn and trying to keep everyone else at bay.

Okay so here are some more photos of the fish all grown up and looking good.  They have spawned a few times but either the females swallowed the eggs or I was not quick enough to save the fry.  I will keep trying.  Oh and another shot of the Callochromis.

Protomelas sp hertae spawned yesterday. IJust hope the female holds for longer this time round.

That's one reason I have been looking for them but I got 8 P hertae now. Looking back I probably should have waited a little bit longer and saved my tank space.

Now they have Protomelas ornatus masinje. Didn't think there was any left in Australia.

Here is a few photos of my Protomelas sp hertae I bought from an aquotix when they did an order from east, just starting to colour as well.  The Callochromis I bought from Robs I'm really not sure how long ago but they have been pumping out the babies.

The feeling I get is that not many of the fish Jeremy investigates would actually ever eat a human e.g. wells catfish, aligator gar, goonch catfish and he sets up the show in that way as well. How ever the obvious sharks and tiger fish would eat a human. I enjoy the show for the landscapes, cultures, fish and the interesting ways they are captured on film.
