So I bought 1 Pb a few months ago and a few weeks later bought 2 more. Put them into a cycled tank which for some reason had a die off of guppies and one PB died. I put the survivors into my community tank and one seemed to do well. Have not seen the other since. Last weekend I put the healthy looking one into my shrimp tank and this morning it died.
Im at a loss. The tank it came out of and the one it went into have the same parameters, the latter probably the best of my tanks as its full of happy Cyclopods. The shrimp, Betta and syndodontis that live there are thriving, even crystal red shrimp. Any ideas? Do they just hate change?

Could it still of had a lingering problem and just too weak.

Another thought was I found better success doing a water change in both tanks before transfer so TDS was similar. Did get a tds meter but only tried a few times.

@delapool I actually did the water change thing, as I wondered the same thing. I’m so puzzled but I’m not sure there’s an answer. I still don’t know I’d peppermints are super ph sensitive, that’s the only thing I can think of because all my other parameters were perfect and ph range may be .5?

It all sounds pretty good to me, I’m not really sure if they are a weak fish (tetras I’ve kind of given up on).

Your fish have some other problem and a tank change simply topped an already weak fish
