Most people say you should blanch it (ie cover with boiling water then drain and cover in cool water). I feed mine a combination of baby spinach, zucchini, broccoli, frozen peas, a bit of garlic and carrot. I blend them using boiled water and then throw in gelatin, let them set, cut them into cubes and freeze. They wont sink until they're almost completely defrosted though but they seem to knock it back well enough.

(would also like to hear peoples thoughts on this)

the plain stuff. has to have no additives. I cant remember the brand but it's a sizeable white box with red writing ( i think?). I'm due to make some more shortly though so when i go shopping i can let you know. This time I'm going to try some of the mineral/vitamin supplements from aquotix.

I'd have to say Onion is definitely one to give a miss. the garlic is supposedly a flavour enhancer but also helps with the immune system. You only add like a few cloves per kilo. When I was doing the research, a lot of people used squash as well, i expect corn would PROBABLY be ok? But I haven't experimented with any other vegies, If anyone else has though, it'd be good to hear about it.

its up to you if you want to blanche it or not.... i dont bother.... as soon as it softens a little with the water the aroma of zucchinni will be irresistable.... your fish may only eat this after lights out at first as it is different and they may be unsure of it....

i also use pumpkin and sweet potatoe... watermelon goes down well to with b/n... i usually eat the red bit and give them the white outer bit with some pink left on it but with no pips as i dont wanna clean them up later.....

mango is another i tried... but they are too expensive to splurge on b/n.... lol....

garlic is a good appetiser!!! makes fish wanna eat.....
