nice, how big, lots of yellow showing in the fins there, possibly looks female

It's about 6-7 cm, I think It's a male. It's been in the tank for less than a week so it's still settling to its environment becoming less skittish each day.

Very nice frontosa you have there :) there is no way you can sex a frontosa at that size way until they get bigger to see :)

i was gonna say its fins look like they are a lil rounded, ive got a heap of f1 about 7-9 cm now and the males are alreasy much larger and starting to show signs of developing the forehead bumps and pointier fins but not every fish develop[s at the same speed due to conditions etc

i bought them from a breeder with WC parents, so mine are all f1, some of my illangi are f1 too :D

There some nice looking 7 bars you have there.
Yeah there extremely hard to tell the sex at that age, they are pretty slow to get to breeding age around 3 years. If you have a colony of the same age, normally the males will grow faster and be larger. Both males and females Kigoma can have the yellow tinge on there fins, but the dominant male will get alot darker

Thanks Patto, all are from the same colony two are double the size of everyone else hence I assume male lol. I have a friend with F1s (diff bloodline) also and we plan on swaping males to keep it fresh :).
