I thought i would share the build of our new tank with you guys and girls.

It has taken 1 month in planning and 2 months in building,But well worth the wait.

The stand was built by Jason (scoogy1) The job that he did was fantastic,The craftsmanship was faultless and would recommend any one who was getting a stand built to look him up.For Value for money and more importantly, structural integrity He has done a great job.

The Sump is a 300 lt second hand one i had spare,so i just re siliconed it and are using  a 7000 lt per hour pump with a over flow  to the out side of the house for water changes

i also have a 18watt UV and 3x300 watt Jager Heater.

The background i made out of foam and painted it with 4 coats of pond paint.

Cladding the stand was made easy because Jason welded fixing points to the stand.

The wood cladding is marine ply and jarrah, The reason i went for the marine ply it is more moisture resistant than the cheaper structural ply

The tank was built by Aquotix and i am very happy with the quality of the workmanship,It was a easy choice for us to chose Aquotix (10 yr guarantee )

Fixing the background with silicone and a long wait for it to cure.

End result can't wait to add the fish
