G'day all,

 

Just got back from holidays, which included a week in Singapore.

If any of you are having a stop-over in Singapore I highly recommend a visit to the Sea Aquarium on Santosa Island.

There is a free shuttle bus from most hotels.

It is the biggest aquarium I have ever seen & just fantastic. We spent 2 hours there & could easily have doubled that.

A massive acrylic tunnel goes under the main marine tank where Hammer Heads & giant Rays can be seen.

Although there is only one community Malawi tank it is more than made up for with all the other tanks.

 

I took heaps of photos if anyone is interested in seeing them.

You can also Google the Sea Aquarium at Santosa.

How you been?

I went there a few years ago for work. Very cool Aquarium. Do they still have the sea turtle pond out the front?

Definitely would like to see some pics!

Hi Col - sounds worthwhile. Wife and I are going there for a long weekend in a few weeks. A few of your pics would really whet my appetite.

Leigh, if you go to the Aquarium, plan the day or two at Sentosa!
It's an awesome place. Siloso beach is a must!

They also have a great zoo in Singapore and if you have time, a cool night safari.

For shopping, take the wife to Orchid Street ,)

Is that the one I saw on tv a few weeks ago? The show was about the building of this huge building/sea world kinda thing, which was all built around a tank that houses three whale sharks. I'm not sure if it was in Singapore or somewhere else.
