Hey PCS peoples. I've been keeping fish for the better part of 11 years. Had a lot of fish over that time but mainly American cichlids. Just love the aggressive brutes like dovii, jags and umbee!!

Anyway after working my arse off to pay for a wedding the last couple of years I haven't had much time for fish and had pretty much lost interest. S**t happens and now I'm single and have all the time in the world. Back into fish keeping I go...

Rant over :)

I just picked up a beautiful Friedrichsthalii pair off a forum member and have them in my 4x2x2. Not looking at selling and making money off fry or anything just looking forward to having a nice breeding pair. Also picked up a 5x2x2 from the same member and am just setting it up now. Looking at getting some dovii juvies and hoping to get a pair.

Hey Cuban,

Great to see you back in the hobby, Sorry to hear about the circumstances.. but your right S&^% happens! Fantastic to see you picked up the Freddies, I was tempted to grab some myself. Such an awesome fish. Hopefully you can get them spawning regularly and get the numbers back up.

Throw some more pics up  ;)

I think Aquotix still might have some juvies around 12-15cm I havnt been there for a few months but they had heaps when I was there

They are really pretty. Makes me  almost rethink my position on really aggressive predators.

Thanks guys. Never seen a male this big before so it was too hard to pass up :)

Definitely a great way to get back into fish keeping! Just setting up a 5x2x2 at the moment. Not 100% sure on what to put in it yet but possibly grow out a group of dovii.

If you do decide to breed, and fry are available between November and January, pm me, I'll buy some.
Get to me in November and I'll be interested in up to 100 depending on price... :)

Nice looking fish, definitely one of my all time favourites. Always had a soft spot for them. When I get back into some fresh water species these will be high on my list. Wondering if they are from my stock I had a while back ?

Possibly Tony. I believe these were originally purchased and raised by Asher (BiGZ). Not sure if that name rings a bell to you?

Don't have any cichlids at the moment, have a couple of marine tanks and some Betta's. But the temptation is always there to get some Cichlids again and Freddies would be high on that list.
