So finally 3 times in community tank I moved them into a divided tank on the 4th attempt and with a towel over their tank they have wigglers.

Time will tell if they keep the baby's :) so happy.

I tired taking a pic away from the tank :$
The baby's go all around the pot.

That's awesome, what ph do you have them at, and what are you using to bring down the ph?

Good work, best of luck with the fry.

Not every day you see two tanks side by side like that. One with Discus and the other with Altolamprologus.

Do you use RO water or regular tap water with the buffer?

I use just tap water haven't got the ro unit set up yet

If you did use ro water you need to use half ro half tap to get the right kh and gh

do a 20% water change, best to do small but more frequent wc than large ones. keep the pics coming.

Yep do small ones with fry, so as not to change the parameters to much.

They look beautiful. What flavour of Discus are they Holmzy?

I personally don't keep discus but have several friends that do and they swear by Brightwell Aquatics DiscusCode.

I also use DiscusCode with RO water in all my South American setups and I believe it helps keep everything (adults and fry) happy and healthy.

So sad news I either didn't match the water correctly or did too big of a water change and lost all the babies. :(.
Going to give the parents a little break and go back to the drawing board :(.

They fire red stendker discus :).
I might go ro water since it seems easier to maintain water

Sorry to hear that mate. Better luck next time.

That DiscusCode stuff actually puts back into RO water the trace elements and minerals that are stripped out by the RO unit. At least that's my understanding.

I personally don't trust rainwater straight from the tank anymore. Too many variables to discount what with pollution and such.

Yes mate. I buy most of my aquarium related gear from The Tech Den. Fastest shipper and probably the cheapest around...

http://www.thetechde..._p/d-s-c250.htm

This is the 250ml but it also comes in 125ml and 500ml.
