Tang Tank

I've got 7 six bar Burundi frontosas( had 10 but lost 3 due to aggression from the alpha front in the past month) , 5 black calvus and 5 Caudopunctatus.
I was going to only have the calvus and fronts as they are similar in behaviour but I couldn't go past the caudos as I find them extremely interesting. So fingers crossed they will be ok together all of the fish range from 4 to 6 cm photos with my phone so not the best and look how empty my tank looks now :/ can't wait for them to grow

Put some Julidochromis in, they would be perfect in that biotope

Young fronts are cool and are great to watch grow out. which can take a few yeas. Enjoy the journey my friend.

Hahaha Ye it definitely gonna be a long interesting journey between the fronts and the calvus. I just need the Dom male to cool his jets he has killed 3 of the smaller ones already and I think one my have float as he is fighting to stay at the bottom
That's odd, I've never had a Dom male kill off any others in either my Burundi colony or my kigoma colony. In general I find fronts uber placid...well other than feeding time. Like just now when I got completely doused in water as they rushed up for food. Haha. Love my fronts.
Oh and float usually only comes about from feeding too much surface food in my opinion. And normally it just takes them to fart it out. Yep you heard me, you'll see the bubbles come from their bum and then they'll settle. Haha. Only way I have found to speed this along if worried about it was to treat the tank with something mild that causes the fish to expel waste. Something like prozy for flukes, it's mild but causes fish to expel waste and thus the air trapped in their guts. But this is only if I find the fish severely affected.
What are you feeding them?

Yeah that's fish keeping. I try not to say outloud which are my favs cause for some reason every time I say that outloud something will go wrong with those fish the very next day. It hurts but you just gotta do your best and try to take peace of mind from that when things do go wrong.
