At a guess - substrate wasn't washed enough and water was added. That is why the bottom half appears to be darker than the top - either the sediment has started to sink to the bottom already or the light is having a harder time penetrating to the bottom due to the suspended particles.
It does seem too obvious though.
Seems like it will be something ridiculous though.

Did a complete water change, that's the result...
Nothing changed yet
Androo wanted Red sand ..... So I got it, we washed, washed, washed a washed it... It became clear! But it was only 10kg
We washed the other 50kg but not as well as the previous one, and that's what happened.
Hopefully it will clear up ONE DAY.... It's so fine it could be almost dust.

did androo by a 10x4 ? how thick is the sand bed?
