Thought I'd blog some of the changes I'm doing.
The car - RX8 Series II '09 Luxury
I wanted to move away from the silver rims that pretty much all factory cars have these days. Was considering buying new rims but nothing really jumped out at me plus I'd want to go to a larger size which means extra dollars for more rubber.
So instead I've chosen to experiment with painting my current rims. Went for gun metal grey with some yellow highlights which contrasts well with the red body.

After

Next project..... suspension (after I paint the other 3 rims LOL!)

Yeh I'm wondering the same... but it's a fairly low cost exercise and I can always get the rims stripped back and done pro if necessary.
When I decide that manufacturer warranty is no longer important But I'm definitley missing the forced indcution that I used to have in the Wrex.
Maybe if I get into track events
Nah unlikely I'll touch the exhaust or in-take. Nothing compares to the lumpiness of V8's or Subi boxer engines so no point in competing.
From what I've read Mazda mastered the air intake so changing it to aftermarket gives little or no HP gain.
Maybe too ricer if I go for a louder exhaust. Takes away the elegance these cars have. Makes it sound like a giant motorbike. Next you'll be waiting flames out of the exhaust Az!

It is pretty embarrassing when you got a loud exhaust, you are sitting at the lights, and the car dies cos it cant idle

Looking at the gun metal colour today in the sunlight and it's looking a tad dark. Think I'll experiment with some lighter colours.
My car - has a blue/green tinge to it I reckon
What I was striving for - more your typical grey
Daz
Crome wheels nuts need to go darker and possibly the Mazda emblem too.
