Cam you give any more info on the phenochilus? E.g. colouration of the fish, colouration of the parents, whether the parents are related and price. I might want 4-5 depending.

For info on phenochilus, try GOOGLE for some homework - try Placidochromis phenochilus Tanzania. If you don't know what colour the parents become, you shouldn't be considering buying any.
My apologies in advance if you or anyone gets offended with my tone. I just get so annoyed at people who want to buy good fish and haven't got a clue what they are shopping for. Breeders put in a lot of time and effort with their fish - it's nice when they go to a home where they can receive the care they require.

Anita, I am not completely in the dark about phenochilus . The males should be a nice blue with speckled lighter blue (number increases as they age), females tend to have a bluish sheen turning to blue as they mature (not as blue as the males). The females can also have less blue as they mature and become a more silvery colour. The same can go for juvies, some having a more blue colour, others having more silver. Considering the variation in blue i think asking is a valid question.

Maybe for such an indepth description of the fish, you would be better off ringing the seller direct as these things are often misinterpreted over the net
It's a bit like asking what colour is your frontosa isn't it?
