Hi guys i will be getting a new tank {second hand) soon 6x2x2.5

Thinking off putting in some tiger oscars and some catfish any thoughts ideas?

well i love tiger oscars and sailfin gibbies they both grow quick keeping oscar is like keeping dogs great personality

realy quick on hi protein and live food they will grow from a few inches to 10 to 12 inches in a year

How big do the Get?

How many would you put in a tank that size?

could they be feed live salt water fish ?

Ie Herring& garfish?

yes they love it i used to feed mine live or dead salt water fish and my fronties as well they love it and so do my tb,s

15 inch is a good size they get bigger but most of mine have seemed to be about 15 inches
in that tank i would put 3 or 4
i think that feeding them live saltwater fish shouldnt be a problem would probable be better (no desiese transfer)
at AAA at the moment we have a nice male/female pair for only 100$

give pete (madasa) a ring cobby :wink: mine normaly topedout around 35 cm but i sold two 35cm to a bloke and they are still growing 8O

Thats Easy

I do a lot of fishing
Just take a bucket and air stone biggrin.gif

Herring stay alive for a long time

Last year fishing on the FADS for dolphin fish

We used live Herring when you put them in the water they turn albino 8O

The dolphin fish go eletric blue laugh.gif

the s*** hits the fan dolphin fish 100 herring 0

yeah its funny how they change colour

we use them as live bait and down here we always catch lots of gars for bait

i find the best way to catch gars (salt water) is to vomit over the side of the boat the gars go nuts on the stuff the realy go for doritos once you have spewed them out your nose :oops:

It went 4KG spot on

State record is 4.2KG :cry:
