What's under the tanks, i hope it's not just foam. You should always put a sheet of board under the tanks with foam on top, this helps to support the glass and distribute the weight.

Yupp there's marine ply under each tank and at the top tooWhat's under the tanks, i hope it's not just foam. You should always put a sheet of board under the tanks with foam on top, this helps to support the glass and distribute the weight.
The lights are attached to the boards underneath
Edit: I thought glass tanks were fine actually as long as they supported along the edges
Acrylic tanks need support under the whole thing.

Those fatty little goldfish are so cute! Looks awesome, gotta be happy with that
haha thanks!
i think they are confused though cos its been a while since they've been in a clear tank! but i'm definitely enjoying seeing them from the side more than i did from the top

I need to upgrade my air pump.
Just wondering if anyone has got one of these?
http://www.thetechde...mp_p/qhu101.htm
i've been taking each tank down , removing the partition and resealing them. In the end i'll have 4x 3ft tanks (for the goldfish) and 2x divided 3ft tanks (for the guppies)
Would this size air pump be enough?

they seem to have settled in OK. I have 4 in a 200 litre tank. it's currently bare bottom with just a pot of vallis I got from Jim a while ago. I gave them a light feeding and they happily ate.
the plan is to have them in here til I get a nice display tank for inside the house. I already had a spot in the house for it... just waiting for the right time. haha it will be before it gets too cold. Right now just making use of our warm weather as much as possible.
very annoyed that I couldn't fit the HOB filter at the back of the tank.... such an eye sore.
this guy was a bit beat up (I was told he was picked on). but he also seems to be the most confident and inquisitive
anyway will take photos at night with the light on. they seem to look better. but was just super excited to share.
very different to what I'm use to (my fat fancy goldfish wiggling their butts constantly) but I'm enjoying watching them glide gracefully. lol

Hey Chocky is the HOB the largest one, you can modify it slightly to fit over a larger lip. Whats the size of the lip? from the very outside of the tank to the inside edge of the lip. I can then check with mine to see if it's possible as mine was a maximum tight fit. You might also want to look at getting better media as you only have a very small amount and your relying on the one filter. (tank could easily crash if you upset the bacteria to much with cleaning).
p.s Fish look nice by the way, good luck with them.

I think its the Aquaclear...70? Second largest one.
It wasnt the lip thats the problem. i couldn't get it to fit between the tank and the shelf above it lol
I will eventually put an extra big sponge filter in there too. Just still need to replace my current air pump cos it's not quite strong enough to pump air to all my tanks.
I'm also gonna try my luck with the raffle at the next PCS Auction.. hehe
